In the spirit of self-improvement (I've just written a post about mental health recovery, which you can read here, and I'm in a fairly happy mood as I write this), I thought I'd start doing goals-related posts. I've seen a lot of bloggers do these, and they're always some of my favourites to read! I've not done a favourites post in a few months, and I'm a little bored of them; I might go back to them at some point but for now, goals are my way forward.

I've decided to take a more focused approach to looking after myself and I hear goals are a good way to do this. So, without further ado, these are my goals for December:

  1. Go to a Christmas market. I will be doing this as I'm going away, and I can't wait! There's nothing like a good market to make you feel all festive, and I get so excited every time I'm at one.
  2. Buy and wrap all my Christmas presents with time to spare. I'm already ahead on this as I've been buying presents all through November; now I just need to wrap them all up and I'm done! I love going all out and getting festive wrapping paper, ribbons and tags to put on my presents...even if no one else enjoys them, I enjoy decorating with them!
  3. Send out all my Christmas cards. I used to give out cards to friends when I was little, up until my first year of uni, and then I stopped. I restarted last year and found it's just as fun as before, so I'm continuing my traditions! I need to get cracking as I have friends the other side of the world that I want to send to, and they must get there in time!
  4. Try to keep on top of my anxiety. It's at a high at the moment, and unfortunately, Christmas hasn't always had the best memories, which my brain seems determined to remind me of at the moment. I'm going to do my best to enjoy what's in front of me without worrying over what might never happen.
  5. And on that note...relax! 2017 has been stressful in so many ways and my body is feeling it. I want to spend the festive period enjoying as much as possible, and then I want to collapse on the sofa in front of the tv with a film, a hot chocolate or tea, and some Christmas-related food items. Heaven.
