Yesterday one of my best friends and I ventured up to the Mac & Wild rooftop bar, which is actually at the top of John Lewis on Oxford Street in London. I'd never been before, but my friend Harriet said she'd read it was all decked out for the winter, so it'd be a nice place to go.

She was right - the entire rooftop deck has basically been transformed into a winter lodge! There are christmas trees EVERYWHERE, with lots of twinkly fairy lights, little wooden benches, and even mini lodges that you can hire out for dinner or drinks with friends! You get the most amazing view of the whole of London too, which at sunset was just beautiful. The whole setting was so cosy and lovely, even though you are literally on the roof; it felt SO christmassy so I was loving life!

You can just go for drinks up there (which we did) which are provided by Background Bars, or you can get dinner too, which is provided by Mac & Wild - a restaurant based in Fitzrovia - and the menu seems quite varied from what I saw; I can't remember so much about the food, but the drinks were pretty standard for London prices! You can find out more here!

The lodge is only a pop-up for the season, so it's around until New Year's Eve. I'd really recommend going to have a look if you're in and around London this winter; it's very Christmassy and wintery and it's free to get in!
