This time of year is one of my favourite times to experiment with different makeup looks. I love wearing dark nails, a dark lip, and neutral or warm shades on my eyes. It's a cosy season full of browns, reds, oranges, yellows - all the warm, fiery colours, and I like to wear complementary shades in my makeup. Here are my autumn makeup favourites:

Barry M Nail Paint in Berry Cosmo
Barry M Speedy Quick Dry Nail Paint in Dragster
Barry M Nail Paint in Raspberry
Barry M Molten Metal Nail Paint in Copper Mine
Collection 7 Day Wear Nail Polish in Heather Mist
Barry M Superdrug Limited Edition Nail Paint in Twinkle Twinkle
Nails Inc for Glamour Nail Paint in Grosvenor Crescent
Barry M Matte Nail Paint in Crush
Nails Inc Nail Paint in Battersea Park
Barry M in particular is a brand I always go to for nail polishes - they're cheap, great quality, and come in a huge range of colours. I'm really loving the Matte Nail Paint in Crush at the moment (it's on my nails now) and it comes on a lot darker than it looks - very autumnal! Their prices are between £3-£5 for polish, and maybe slightly more for a base or top coat polish. I'm really loving the khaki-type colours too which are more neutral and go with pretty much everything.

Tanya Burr Cosmetics Eye Palette in Enchanted Dream

Urban Decay Naked 2 Eyeshadow Palette

Tarte Cosmetics Tartelette in Bloom Eyeshadow Palette

Tarte Cosmetics Double Duty Beauty Amazonian Clay Eyeshadow Palette

MAC Cosmetics Warm Neutrals x15 Eyeshadow Palette
Tanya Burr Cosmetics Fairytale Eye Palette
I'm a sucker for eyeshadow palettes, and am slowly but surely building up my collection! I love warm colours on my eyes, because I have brown eyes and it brings out the colours in them really well. If you don't want to spend too much, I can't recommend the Tanya Burr Cosmetics eye palettes enough. They're about £6 each for four shades - I've got every single one. They're well pigmented, blend really well and all very flattering. The Enchanted Dream and Fairytale palettes are the ones I'd pick for autumn - they've got some beautiful shades in pinks and browns that I love to wear. On the more expensive side, I love my Tarte Cosmetics palettes - these are VERY pigmented and all shades complement each other so well, so they're easy to combine and blend. My MAC Cosmetics palette is a firm favourite; I've had it for a while and still go back to it regularly. However at around £65, it is pricey! And last but not least, the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette. This has a few more shimmery shades than the other palettes, and they're really really great quality, as everyone who has one of these palettes knows!

I'll wear a mix of shades on my lips, depending what I've chosen to do on my eyes. If I've gone for a darker eye shade, I'll wear more of a nude lip, such as Sleek Makeup's Matte Me in Birthday Suit; but if I've gone for a more natural, barely-there look on the eyes, I'll pull out a dark lip like NYX's Matte Lip Cream in Copenhagen or MAC's Hang Up Creamsheen Lipstick.
I usually wear more of a matte lip anyways, so if I have a shade in a creamy type lipstick or gloss, I use Smashbox Cosmetics' Insta-Matte and just dab that on top of the lipstick. It makes it a lot more matte without drying your lips out, so it's made the range of lipsticks I'll now buy a LOT bigger!
