Another late one unfortunately, but my August Favourites is here!

1. NYX Lip Cream in London
The perfect nude. I love this colour so much and find it really flattering. I have a few of these NYX lip creams now, and this one is definitely one of the most long lasting. They're about £5-6 in Boots, or at any NYX counter - I can't wait til one comes to Oxford!

2. Black Eyed Susans by Julia Heaberlin
This book initially took a long time to get into, but I ended up really loving it. It's the story of a woman who was abducted when she was a teenager, but ended up surviving and putting her kidnapper behind bars. Now, years later, as he waits on death row in Texas, she starts receiving Black Eyed Susans from an unknown person - as she did before she was kidnapped, meaning the person she put behind bars may not be the right person after all!
It's written a little like Gone Girl and The Girl On The Train in that it switches between her as a teenager and her as an adult, and I think if you like either of those then you will love this. I thought it was really clever, and I didn't see the ending coming at all!

3. Tarte Cosmetics Palettes
I've heard a lot about +tarte cosmetics for a while now, so when I saw they had a sale on about a month or so ago, I decided to have a nosy and ended up buying the Young, Wild & Free Amazonian Clay Palette and the Tartelette in Bloom Clay Palette. I found these beautiful palettes on sale, for about £50 altogether, and decided to invest. Beware though, if you're from the UK like me, that shipping and delivery costs a lot more - almost as much as the items themselves - so I won't be buying regularly from here unless they have a base in the UK!
However, the quality of the palettes are brilliant. They come in such beautiful shades which are really flattering - particularly if you have brown eyes like me - and the powder is well pigmented if you want to build up a lot of colour and like to blend your shades. I also have to mention that the palettes themselves actually smell amazingly of sweet vanilla, which I absolutely love! Though it was pricey to get them to me, I don't regret buying them!

4. Beyonce - Lemonade
Bit late to the game on this one, but I don't have Tidal or am signed up to Apple Music, so I couldn't listen to this album for a while. It was actually a very slow day at work where I didn't have much to do, so I decided to download the album onto my phone. It's an absolute corker. Watching the Lemonade film really helped understand how all the songs link together in their order, which I thought was really interesting and cool. My favourite songs are Hold Up, All Night and Don't Hurt Yourself, feat. Jack White. Beyonce, as always, hasn't failed to create a really amazing album that you can listen to over and over again without getting bored. I'm still listening to it and the songs are growing on me even more!

5. Go Pro
I decided that before I went on holiday that I'd like a new camera to use as well as my phone. After searching for a while online and realising my budget was smaller than I'd hoped, I decided to go for a Go Pro. I have the Hero 4+ Silver, which I absolutely love. I was so so happy when I was on holiday! The picture quality is great, the video quality is even better, and it's perfect for travelling, because it's so light and easy to carry. I actually created some videos when I was away using this (which may go up soonish) which was really fun and it was so easy to use.
